Brief History of the JEDI REPUBLIC; PART IV
Reeling from the recent war, the Republic was in
no shape to fight. But, things don't always come
to pass as desired...
After the war, the Republic Senate went into a
feud about what to do next. Some Senators even
proposed abolishing the Jedi Order and exiling
all the followers of the Force, much like what
happened to the early Sith religion. This was
struck down, however, by much clearer thinking
Senators.
Ambitious enemies made up their minds for them.
Some years after the end of the Star Forge War,
the first attacks began. The Trade Federation, a
loosly knit group of planets dedicated to the
art form that was making Credits, saw the
opprotunity and took it.
What better way to make a pile of Credits than
to overthrow the galactic government? So, with
their monstrous droid army they conquered planet
after planet; all without one shot being fired
against them by the Republic.
And so the demise of the Republic began.
