Even before I saw "Tarzan", I knew Jane would be my favourite. I wanted to meet Tarzan, Terk and the rest at Disneyland, but really I just wanted to see Jane, and as I've babbled about over at the Disneyland section, I got to be the first to have a photo taken with her! Why do I love Jane? ...

  • She's not afraid to admit when she can't do something
  • She's a great artist
  • She falls in love with a Flying Ape Man
  • She's voiced by Minnie Driver
  • She has the most original style of all the Disney heroines!

By the way, I'd just like to input right now: Jane and Belle look NOTHING alike, and I get very annoyed when people say they do! Yes, they both have brown hair and a yellow dress, and they're both women. That's where the similarities end. Spot the difference ...??

Jane won hearts - at least I can speak for myself, and a couple of my friends and family-type people - with her great personality and adorable looks. "Janey-Jane" isn't as strong or as flawless as the other Disney heroines, such as Pocahontas, Belle or Mulan, but that makes her a more human character. She's imperfect, believable and loveable, and a most memorable and amusing character. Admit it, didn't that whole recap-of-the-flying-ape-man thing steal the show?
