Carolina. Robert Craig was Uncle and guardian of John Boyce Craig 1834-1903
and his sister Sarah Jane Craig who married Dorsey L Gary, informant Henry Cox,
grandson of John Boyce Craig. Sarah lived to be 101 years old.

Susannah his wife of Albemarle sold to William Sampler for 90 pounds, 400 acres
in Albemarle County. Signed David Dolton; wit Isaac Davis, Jacob Watts, Leonard

David was a prominent land owner in Albemarle County Virginia. He was well
connected to such friends as James Madison, Thomas Jefferson and Dr. Thomas
Walker the explorer. Some of David's land deeds were signed by Thomas
Jefferson, and members of the Thornton family, cousins of George Washington,
another close friend of David.
Patrick County Deeds: David Dalton and Susanna his wife, of Patrick Co., Va.
Sells land to Benjamin Robison of Albemarle Co., Va. dated 3 Sept 1793.
David bought land in Stokes County North Caroline about 1779, and moved there
about 1785. His first wife died there. In Dec 1812 David remarried, the widow
Eleanor Goode Martin.
