1880: Toliver(57) hsa wife Caroline(43) with children Martha(14), John(12),
Adeline(10), Milly A.(8), Lora(6), and Adelia(4). Toliver's son Columbus(23)
resides next door with wife Happy(25) and son Eli(3).
On the 1850 census, it appears that Toliver and his sister Sarah are taking
care of their four younger half brothers and sister, Jane, Henry, Benj., and
H.P. They were living near the families of George Bradley, Churchwell Morris,
Thomas Guice, and Isaac Henderson.
On the 1900 census, T. and wife Caroline have their daughter Adelia Laughter
and grandson Ewart Laughter living with them. T. gave his birth as July 1831,
age 68, married 44 years, Carolina gave her's as Mar 1838, age 62, married 44
years, had 13 children, 11 were still living.

1850: Elijah and family lived near Thornton and G.W. Bradley, G.W. had Bradley
Dalton(48) and Mary Dalton(24) residing in his home (no relationship given).
1860: Elijah and family lived with John Johnson listed as head of household
with widow Anna Goodson and her children residing in the home. Also residing in
the home were grand children, Mary A. Johnson(20), John Johnson(6) and Mary
Bradley(49). John Thompson and Eli Bradley's family lived nearby.
The heirs of Leonard Johnson, with the approval of the Polk County Court,
purchased 73 acres, 'where Elijah Dalton lives'. This was to provide a living
place for Elijah and his wife, as will as Mary Matilda Dalton Johnson and her
children, heirs of Leonard.
