in the Revolution. his father moved to Burke Co., North Carolina in 1778.

sumitted for Rev. War Pension for service on the NC & VA line,issued #S8295.
Soldier had a wife not named in request for pension.
William Dalton served as surety and T. F. Birchett, clerk, as witness on
Pitman Lewis' marriage bond.
