Artorus

"The True Knight"
God of Chivalry, Valor, Honor, Oaths, Ethics, Justice, and Truth

"Give truth, and your gift will be paid in kind,
And honor will honor meet."

- The True Knight's Code

The followers of the True Knight are people of great courage and valor.  They embody all that is good and just, and are always found at the forefront of any battle against evil.  Personal bravery and good deeds direct their actions; they shun dishonorable acts in combat (acts such as using missile weapons or attacking from surprise) to avoid having their bravery questioned.

Priests of Artorus are trustworthy and honorable and while they never make promises lightly, once one is made they will fulfill it or die trying.  Unfortunately, they tend to naively expect such honest behavior of others.  Their honesty and integrity is so-well known that priests of the True Knight are often asked to be witnesses to contracts, treaties, marriages, and other agreements.

The True Knight's Code, the holy book of prayer and meditation that contains the code of ethics followed by priests of Artorus, promotes fairness, justice, truth, and the ideal that the greatest act of nobility is to lay down one's life for those in need.

Holy Days: Priests of Artorus gather on the first day of each month for an entire day of prayer and fasting.  Adventuring priests of Artorus are granted a special dispensation to miss the monthly gatherings, provided they return at the next opportunity after accomplishing a task for the church.

Allies: Ausonius, Calpurnia, Lampronus, Pomponilla, Rabirius

Foes: Coscona, Desticius, Fadus, Floronius, Gabinius, Hosidius, Novilla, Valgilla, Volcatius
