Mayan Tzolk'in Days: General Information
by A'oleah Eara
This is a VERY BRIEF description of the
Tzolk'in.
The Sacred Calendar of the Maya, the Tzolk'in
(cycle of the Pleiades) is a never-ending spiral,
repeating every 260 days. With each repeat, we
express at a higher/different level of evolution.
The Maya use 17+ calendars each with a different
number of Kin (days). Each uses the Tzolk'in as
the central "gear".
The Tzolk'in is a 260-day cycle. It consists of
two wheels that rotate together, one wheel has 13
numbers (spirit) the other has 20 hieroglyphs
(physical), where they touch within the rotation
identifies each day. There are several different
"counts". I use the count from Jose Arguelles'
Dreamspell.
The 13 numbers represent the tones of creation.
The 20 hieroglyphs represent the steps to soul
evolution.
The glyph image's) are very important. They
assist with "decoding" information/memories/knowings from deep within.
This is non-verbal/non intellectual information.
The Hz frequencies are like musical notes,
creating a melody of the universe. The importance
of sound/vibration and how it affects us cannot
be understated. I use the Hz numbers published in
books by Aluna Joy Yaxk'in.
We are nearing a time when the expression reaches
a peak and begins again at a whole new level, a
new age, ascension, shift of the ages, to use a
few phrases we hear that describes what is
happening. The accepted date of the ending of
the Mayan calendar is 2012. This date ends a
cycle that began approximately 3113 BC. When a
cycle ends another begins.
Connect with this information however you are
guided.
