“I don’t know. He’s not like me.” Heath said to B’Elanna. He had already told her about his wanting to adopt a Bishel Dragon and that he was. B’Elanna had just asked him about his personality. “He’s kind of silent, creepy, I haven’t seen him this way, but I think he’s somewhat violent as well.”
B’Elanna sighed and Heath knew that she didn’t like having a lot of people in her home on account of Sofi, a white Bishel Dragon. White’s didn’t like being around a lot of people or distraction’s or loud noises, etc. “What is going to happen to him? Where’s he going to stay?”
Heath shook his head, “I don’t know B’Elanna, I don’t know. He said something about going back to where we left and making the people there pay. I think that’s what’s going through his mind currently. Revenge.”
“Great. I suppose we’ll all have to sit him down and talk to him. Though, I hope he doesn’t plan on staying in the Bishen Realm until he finds out if he got an egg or not. It might take a while or it might not, but he should come back here. You better go get him. Until then I’m going to go take a look at your motorcycle. Just get it cleaned up a bit and install a few new gadgets or something.”
“Okay.” Heath said then got up and headed off to find his brother, if he really was his brother.
Than though kept staring at the eggs, staring and staring. Negative thoughts were emitting from them, but he didn’t care, he ignored it and kept watching. “It’s, it’s just like,.. It can’t be. But it is.” He mumbled things like this every once in a while to himself.
“They say you’ve been sitting there ever since I left.” Than didn’t need to turn around he recognized the voice, Heath.
“Your point?”
“What are you going to do now?” Heath said sitting down next to Than. Heath looked first at his brother then at the eggs in front of both of them.
Than was silent for many seconds perhaps even minutes, but then he said, “I must go through with this, I feel as if it has happened before but I don’t know.”
“What happens if you get one?”
“Then I shall go with him or her and leave you and your little friends alone. You won’t see me again.”
“You’re planning on getting revenge on those people back there aren’t you?”
“If you must know, yes I am.”
“Will the Dragon go with you against them?”
“If he or she wishes to they may help me, if not then they can stay in a shelter that I will find for them while I go into battle.”
Heath nodded and looked back at the eggs, “You seem to know what you’re doing Than, but be careful. If you really are my brother as those people said then I want to get to know you more before you die.”
Than smirked the first tiny bit of emotion Heath could remember seeing on Than’s blank face, “They are weak, they will fall quickly and shall not rise.”
“B’Elanna thinks that you should come back to the mansion and not stay here waiting to find out if you have gotten an egg yet.”
“She seems nice, but her advice I do not wish to follow. Kindness doesn’t get very far with me.” Heath nodded understanding then he got up to leave, “Wait. I must tell you that you should remember, only the strong survive. All my life I saw many around me die, one by one, so I had to become one of the strong. Those who died were weak, you are becoming weak as well. Be careful Heath or you might die like them.”
“Than, you scare me, I’m not going to die.”
“If you are part of my family you must not die, perhaps one day we will be able to talk. Now I am busy. They must be taught a lesson. Also, you better not be weak Heath. By the way you are not the first that I have scared.”
“I’m not weak and you don’t really scare me.” That was a lie though and both Heath and Than knew it. The mere way Than talked to Heath scared him. “I’m going back to the mansion, I’ll check in on you from time to time or else you won’t be able to get back.”
“Suit yourself, it almost sounds as if you care about me. But I have learned that nobody cares for me. I could almost say I’m touched, but then I’ve wouldn’t know.”
“Wonderful. And yes I care about you, even if I haven’t known you forever I still care about you.”
“That’s only because you think I’m your brother. Tell me before you go, if you found out I wasn’t your brother would you hate me?”
“Not unless you did something I didn’t approve of. Now goodbye Than, I’ll be back in a while.” Than didn’t say anything and Heath left.
‘Brother? Hmph. He might be my brother and he might be acting like a brother is supposed to be acting. How would I know I’ve never had a brother. But, if this is. Perhaps this is like, like the dream. Or maybe it’s a dream inside a dream. Is this real? Can this be happening? I thought it was a stupid dream, but still it gave me hope and now it seems to be happening. But is it real? Am I real?’ Than thought over and over again. If it was like his dream then getting revenge on the people that had genetically enhanced both him and his brother wasn’t the only thing that was going to happen in the future. No, his life would be very hectic if this was his dream coming to life, becoming reality.
