Thomas P. is twin brother of William B.
On the 1880 census, Thomas P. Redon and William B. Redon, living next door to
each other, both giving their parents birthplace as Georgia.
On the 1900 census, Thomas had been married 22 years, with 10 children, both his
parents born in North Carolina. Thomas and his family are living next door to
his brother William B. and his family.
On the 1910 census, Thomas was spelling his name Redding. Living in the house
was Thomas' grandson Preston, age 6 (born bef 5 may 1904), his grandson Gaston,
age 11 (born bef 5 May 1899), and a widowed daughter, Ellen James. Also in the
house were two boarders, Fanny Nicholson age 30, widowed, and her son Arthur age
1 3/12. Thomas' wife, Nancy Ann states that she had 13 children with 9 still
living. The oldest known son is George, born abt 1892, 18 years old in 1910. He
is single in 1910 and could not be the father of either of the grand children.
The other two known sons of Thomas are also single and too young to have been
the fathers of Preston or Gaston.
