born, at age 30. According to writings of Dr. Robert Hunter Dalton, grand
son of Samuel Jr., died from effect of rattle snake bite.

Hening, pub. 1823. Oct 1785, 10th Commonwealth; handles a land transfer for
Charlotte Dalton because her husband Samuel is insane and incapable of
conducting any business. Names Samuel Dalton, William Dalton, Archelaus Hughes
and William Martin as gentlemen and trustees.
Will of Samuel Sr., probated 1807 Stokes Co., NC, named Samuel Jr as being
deceased.
Moved to Guilford Co., NC in 1771.
