Notes:
Death notice informant: John Dalton.
On the 1880 census, James and Ella are married, over a year, with no children.
They are living next to a Stepp family and the family of Columbus Laughter.
On the 1900 census, which was hard to read, James gave his birth as Jun 1871,
age 28, married 20 years. His wife Ella or Ellen gave her birth as Apr 1871,
age 29, married 20 years, had 11 children, 7 still living. James could not have
been 28 years old and married 20 years in 1900. It is more likely that he was
39 and born in 1861, this would make him married at age 19 not 9. That also
falls in line with the other census' for James. The same problem exist with
Ella's age and length of marriage. She also should be born in 1861, age 39, to
be married 20 years in 1900.
