In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... the A-Team.

This was the introduction to NBC's The A-Team, which ran from 1983 to 1987. It was a show about a commando unit from the Vietnam War who were on the run. It started out serious, but soon became a witty show that is still much loved today. Starring George Peppard as Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, Mr. T as Sgt Bosco "B.A." Baracus, Dirk Benedict (from 1978's Battlestar Galactica) as Lt Templeton "Faceman" Peck, and Dwight Schultz (later famed for his role in Star Trek: The Next Generation) as Cptn H.M. "Howlin' Mad" Murdock, it had a slew of co-stars and guest stars including Robert Vaughn and Boy George.
