Starring Johnny Depp (21 Jump Street, Sleepy Hollow), Orlando Bloom (Lord of the Rings, Ned Kelly), Keira Knightley (Princess of Thieves, Bend it Like Beckham), and Geoffrey Rush (Shine, Ned Kelly); the movie proved to be so popular that director Gore Verbinski, and producer Jerry Bruckheimer then filmed two sequels back to back (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End).
