What would happen if a mushroom cloud suddenly appears on the horizon, and all communication with the outside world was cut off? This is the premise of the CBS TV series Jericho, set in a small Kansas town beset with questions when the residents see such a cloud in the direction of Denver, Colorado. Then they learn that Denver was not the only American city destroyed by a nuclear explosion, and overnight their world has changed forever.

Starring Skeet Ulrich (Into the West), Lennie James (A Midsummer Night's Dream), Ashley Scott (Birds of Prey, Dark Angel), and Gerald McRainey, Jericho ran for one season, was cancelled on a cliffhanger, prompting fans to embark on a massive campaign to get a second season of seven episodes. It kept fans on the edge of their seats as they had little more knowledge of the events leading up to the end of the world as the characters did.
