Imagine you're a soldier in the jungles of Peru. You're good at what you do, you have senses that are beyond the normal range of an ordinary human. Now imagine you have been brought back to the United States, and are recruited as a Police Officer. Imagine that a young, hippie anthropologist wants to study what you are... a sentinel.

This is the premise of The Sentinel. Jim (played by Richard Burgi) is a Sentinel, a person with enhanced senses. Blair Sandburg (played by Garett Maggart) is a grad student whose thesis was on Sentinels and was thrilled to meet a real live one to study.

The Sentinel ran for 4 seasons, from 1996-1999, and chronicled the lives of these two as they fought crime and became great friends.
