The myth of Hercules (or Herakles), son of Zeus is fairly well known. In 1995 a new show emerged to give us another spin on the legend.

Starring Kevin Sorbo (who later went onto Andromeda) as Hercules and Michael Hurst as his friend Iolaus, the show went for 6 seasons, lasting until 1999 (and yes the math does add up!); and spawning a spin off in the form of Xena Warrior Princess.
