Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015)

After a short break for the Age of Extinction toyline, a sequel to the "Prime" TV show and toyline was released on shelves in 2015-- the second Transformers toyline with the subtitle "Robots in Disguise". Though it was a "loose" sequel, with the overall tone much lighter than Prime's, with the Decepticons being more criminals then an actual army. Bumblebee gets sent to Earth with a new mission (eventually multiple missions) and a new crew, and ends up being essentially the new leader, though Optimus also shows up in guest appearances now and then as well. The show lasted for 4 seasons. As for the toyline, the general look was a more simplistic look compared to Prime, but not an altogether completely different aesthetic-- more like Prime with just a TOUCH of Animated mixed in. For the Autobots, the core team of 5-7 was focused on, with MANY versions of each of those main five characters being released. Most of the Decepticons were rather unique in that they had vehicle modes but animalistic robot modes, though unfortunately very few of them were made compared to how many of them appeared in the show. Mini-Cons tended to transform into either discs, torpedoes, balls, and eventually weaponry. This was the first "mainline" Transformers line to really focus on a younger audience than usual, with most of the toys being more simplistic in transformation than usual, with less articulation. The "Warrior" (deluxe) and "Legion" classes were the only toys that tended to have the "normal" articulation and transformation complexity for their size, though even in that respect the Warriors are generally slightly more simple in their transformations than normal deluxes. One "gimmick" that was used throughout the line were Autobot and Decepticon allegiance "stickers" on the toys with unique circles around each symbol; when scanned with a smartphone, they unlock the character in the free mobile game.
After 2015 ,the packaging was changed slightly with a bit more green coloration with the subtitle "Mini-Con" Weaponizers, with the emphasis being on Mini-Cons, robots who can deploy them, and special Mini-Cons who can become weapons (the latter, ironically, did not show up in the U.S. and only showed up in other countries). After the calendar changed to 2017, the packaging was changed more substantially to have a yellow background (compared to the earlier, mostly white background), with the subtitle "Combiner Force" added to the toyline, with the basis of the line being a more simplstic version of Combiner Wars in Generations. The line lasted into the first half of 2018, with it being replaced with Transformers: Cyberverse in the summer of 2018.
Robots in Disguise was famous (or, rather, infamous) for trying MANY different size classes/gimmicks and then quickly abandoning them throughout its run, with many sizes or gimmicks not lasting past 3 waves or so. Here's a list of all the various size classes and their approximate prices in U.S. dollars (Toys in their own size class are not included in this list):
Entire Line (2015-2018): Warriors ($15 U.S.), Legion ($7 U.S.), 1-Step/Turbo Changers ($10 U.S.), 3-Step Changers/Hyper Change Heroes ($20 U.S.)
Weaponizers (Late 2015-2016): Mini-Con single packs ($5 U.S.), Mini-Con Battle Packs ($15 U.S.), Mini-Con Deployers ($20 U.S.) Mini-Con 4-packs ($20 U.S.), Power Surge toys w/ Mini-Cons ($30 U.S.)
