Aeros 6, Beavers 2

Overall Record:  5-4-2

Record With Beer:  4-3-2

Record Without Beer:  1-1-0

Record Without Habs Jerseys: 2-1-0

Our first career victory against the Beavers!  Complete Beaver domination throughout the game.  A dramatic win considering; 1) We hadn't won a game in over a month and, 2) The beer was forgotten by Bo, who should have been consequently strung up by his testes in the locker room, but the jubilation of the victory clouded our fragile little minds.

How about the rejuvenated scorekeeping staff?  This girl clearly did not meet the required 3 bills, but still did a heck of a job considering the newly implemented 15:00 run/15:00 run/12:00 stop time format.

The Diamandis/Boudreau/Kaplan line was a +5 for the evening, while the Postizzi/Tomada/Herlihy line went a -1, pushing their season total to an estimated -20.  I think some quick suicide drills after the games might help the "PHAT" line get back on track.

A solid effort from the defense in the victory, getting to some of the loose pucks first and helping Carrier knock-off a few tenths of a point of his Goals Against Average (now 3.73).  A nice bounce-back for the goaltender that had been floundering the past few weeks.  I think the fact that his lover showed up for the game gave him the extra motivation needed between the pipes.

Next week's game is part of a Red Wings/Aeros double-header.  The Red Wings have a game at 9:30 while the Aeros play at 10:30.  We shall see how Charlie's training techniques are working out for him as this will be his first true test.  Everyone should try and make sure that they get to the game early so that they can get some pointers from the league leading Wings.  This should be a good game as it is against the cross-night rival Bulls.

This game is a must-win for the Aeros because it is against one of the bottom-dwellers of the league.  We shouldn't take this team too lightly because we proved that we can play a shitty as the Wolfpack in a given night.

With a solid effort on the defensive end and if Carrier defies the odds and strings together two good games in a row, our goaltender may be able to get that ever-elusive shutout patch.  I'll have you all know that I picked up my Hat-Trick patch in the mail from last week's contest.

In the numbers: The Aeros record broken down into months is as follows:

     September: 0-2-0

     October: 4-0-0

     November: 0-2-2

     December: 1-0-0

     Keep the streak alive....
