'MARTHA LENORE REDDEN, 57, HENDERSON COUNTY NATIVE: Spartanburg, S.C. - Martha
Lenore Redden, 57, of Duncan, S.C., died Monday, July 21, 1986, in Spartanburg
General Hospital after an extended illness.
A native of Henderson County, she was born March 20, 1929, and was a daughter
of the late Gale A. and Sadie Holden Goode of Mills River.
Survivors include her husband, James E. Redden of Duncan; four sons, Eric
Redden of Asheville, Stuart Redden of West Asheville, Marty Redden of Duncan,
Myron Redden of Hendersonville; one daughter, Mary Callicott of Woodruff, S.C.;
two brothers, Lawrence Goode of Skyland, and Morris Goode of Mills River; three
sisters, Hazel Jachary of Asheville, Gladys Blackwell of Hendersonville and
Mrs. Betty Hill of East Flat Rock; and nine granchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Westwood Memorial
Gardens in Reidville, S.C., with the Rev. Melvin Hudson officiating. The family
is at the home, 102 Cannon St., Duncan, and will receive friends from 7-9 p.m.
today at the Roddy Mourtary in Duncan.
