1850 census:James P. was listed as farmer, estate value $13,540.00. He birth
birth place is Georgia. Residing with him are wife Martha and 5 daughters.
His son Joseph is a student of Brownwood Institute in nearby La Grange. In La
Grange, we find the Benjamin H. Cameron family ,with two daughters, one of them
Emma F., will become the wife of Joseph and in 1860 we will find them residing
in the same home with Emma's sister Lavinia E. and her spouse A.C. Gibson and
their children.
James Pace Leonard (Lennard) will dated 25 May 1851, recorded 10 Dec 1851, Mrs.
Leonard was left a childs share of his estate. The executor Richard H. Leonard
deeded the house and 96 acres to Mrs Leonard on 6 Oct 1859.
