The Rat Pack Is Back!

The DC Journal

The whole Partridge Family catalog will indeed be released on CD.

A source within Buddha Records has confirmed that NEW Partridge Family CDs are in the works for release sometime in late spring, 2003. While they are not yet sure if it will be a Boxed Set, or individual CDs, they ARE sure that unreleased, bonus tracks will be included.

Buddha is indeed releasing the material. The earliest it can be released is late Spring, 2003. They have not made a final decision as to whether it's a boxed set or individual CDs. However, whichever way it is released, extra, unreleased songs will be included on each CD. The new material hasn't been mastered yet, so that's why they are looking at a late Spring release date at
the earliest.

E-mail from Katie:

I have read many interviews my dad gave in Australia and places. There seems to be some miscommunication someplace, so I am happy to set the record straight.

When I was approached to record ITILY, my dad was out of the country. My mom Sherry, and I called and left several messages on his cell phone. We even left one on his wife's cell phone that we needed to speak to him right away. When he did not call back in time, I begged my mom to let me go ahead. So, no, I did not talk with my dad about it first, it happened so fast. But I really tried to, he just didn't call until he came home. He has known for a very long time though, about the end of last year.

I have been in close contact with my dad for many years, not when I was really young, he lived in Conneticut then. So, I don't know why that would be printed. As for my mother she and my dad have known each other for over 30 years. It's kind of funny. Sometimes at dinner with the whole family (my grandmas and sisters too), my mom and dad talk about a lot of the "old times" and things they did together. They laugh a lot and no one else knows what they are talking about. They have some really fun stories from when they
were really young. If he has said something else, then he has his own reasons for not wanting to be honest about that.

My dad does not support my being out of school. But, he knows I am not out of school, I do independent study and am still enrolled at my high school. Everyone has explained this to him, but he doesn't seem to understand. I am going back into regular school for a few months and the only difference is I have a tutor when I am not there. Same college prep classes and all. It does upset me that he is not more supportive. We could have so much fun with it, but I think somebody else doesn't like my getting the attention or something.
All I know, is when I am a mother, I will support whatever my children want to try to accomplish. If it is not something I want them to do, I would still let them try and stand behind them. So, of course I wish he was more supportive and understanding. It hurts my feelings, but he has his own reasons and his own bad experiences he talks about. BUT, I am not him, I'm me. My dad and I love each other, but we don't always agree. (my mom says it's because I am 15 ;) !

Thank you for your letter. I hope this clears up some things that are said. It is nice to know many fans are behind me, I still have a long way to go and I am having fun along the way! My album will come out in the spring, let me know if you like it.
Take care and thanks again!

EBAY WARNING!

There has been reports recently that forged autographs are being sold on Ebay. There is at least one photo of David that has a forged signature up for sale now, and The Official Ryan Cassidy Fan Website has also announced there are forged autographs of both Ryan and Patrick Cassidy on Ebay. This has been reported to DC.com and to Ryan. It is likely that this problem is a concern for most celebrities.

We will again urge you not to make bids on items that cannot be verified as authentic.
