Bumblebee and Cliffjumper Keychains

1:12am, got home around an hour ago, found a box from BBTS. I love
those guys. Got a NS Cheetor and the minibots. Kinda bored, so I
figured I'd write up a little review.
Okay so these guys come packaged on little cards with what I believe
is their original G1 art and tech specs. Heck, Cliffjumper's even has
an annoying grammer error. "...and situations to dangerous for him to
handle." I just can't stand when people use to when they're supposed
to use too.
[Addendum: That error wasn't there on the original's tech specs as someone
pointed out to me. Also the font on the specs is different, so it's not an exact
repro of them, but close enough.]
Anyway, of course we all know these two little guys are the coolest
things ever, and the new forms are, well, excatly the same. The only
mold change is a loop added on the upper right of their rear bumpers
to attach the chains. And, whoo, they are fully detachable, so you
can play with them without the chains. NS Cheetor has himself a nifty
pair of roller skates now, hehe.
Comparison to the originals? Well, I have a bad condition Cliffy, and
a one legged G2 Bumblebee, so let me look. Most noticable change is
Cliffy's rear sticker. On the original it's some sort of techno stuff
(knobs and switches and all that), but the key chain only has an
Autobot symbol. Bumblebee's rear sticker is the same, though it's cut
smaller than on the G2 version. Oh, and my G1 Cliffy and G2 Bumble
have 'Good Year' and 'Dunlop' on their larger rear tires, respectivly, whereas the
key chain dudes have nothing. I guess fun4all didn't want to pay any
royalties or something. The rear tires also aren't quite as wide and
seem to be made of a cheaper rubber.
[Addendum: Also for the record, the plastic quality of Bumblebee at least isn't as
good at the original, but Cliffjumper seems to be about the same.]
So my, um, diagnosis...or something...go buy these damnit. They rock.
It's nice to finally have a Cliffy and Bumblebee that can hold up
their damn arms without tape. And a Bumblebee with both legs is sure
nice too, though I have to confess I like the chromed G2 color schemes
better than the flat colored G1 versions, but still, very awesome.
Worth the $5 each from BBTS I'd say (the set for $10).
