Notes:
On 16 July 1875 Ida Virginia's mother died, she was only four years old when
her mother passed away. She then resided with her Grandmother Elizabeth Cameron
and her father Joesph. In 1880 Joesph remarried to Eva Talbert Scriven and they
moved to Florida, leaving little Ida age 9 to reside and care for her aging
Grandmother. After Mrs. Cameron passed away Ida age 12 went to live with her dad
and his new family in Geneva, Florida.
Ida passed away in 1949 while residing with her daughter Alice Corrine Horne.
She was age 78 when she died. Ida suffered with diabetes and small strokes
until her death.

John served in the Civil War, Co. E, 31st Reg., North Carolina Volunteers. He
enlisted 20 Sep 1862, at Wake Co.. Was hospitalized at Richmond, Va., 16 May
1864 for gunshot wound received in Battle of Drewry's Bluff. After the war, he
became a techer and Superintendent of Schools, Orange Co., N.C. He never
married.
John lived his life on the home place, originally owned by Thomas Thompson and
Ann Finney. After his death, the land was sold his heirs, children of his
brother David.
