#1: Mrs.Alice Corrine Raulerson-Horne: Corrine is the oldest daughter of Mrs.
Ida Virginia Lennard-Raulerson; who is the oldest daughter of Joseph U. Lennard
and Emma F. Cameron. Alice and Kenneth M. Horne, Sr., her husband of 74 years,
reside live near their son on Pennock Point in Jupiter, Florida.
#2: Mr. Joseph Mathieux, grand child of Joseph U. Lennard, resident of Geneva,
Florida. Mr. Mathieux is a retired teacher and artist. Presently, he actively
assists in the Geneva Historical Society Museum. He gave a video interview of
the local history of Geneva, as well as the historical facts of his own family.
His mother was the daughter of Eva Talbird Screven. Joseph owns furniture and
heirlooms from the Lennard(Leonard Plantation). Family members donated many
items to the Geneva Historical Museumn, located in Geneva, Florida.
#3: Mr.Forrest Johnson Clark,III, renown writer and Troup County, Georgia,
Historian. Great appreciation and tribute goes to him for corrspondence and
information provided through his research and publications. Hopefully, with
effort on my part and God's blessings our family will complete our family

West area of La Grange, Troup County,. Georgia.
1850 Census: Joesph is resident student of Brownwood Institute, founded by Rev.
Otis Smith,M.B. Clergyman,who purchased it from Dr. Robert C. Brown. The school
had been called Brownwood Academy for Girls,it's location, La Grange,Georgia.
Residing nearby we find Benjamin H. Cameron age 47,wife Eliza age 48, with two
daughters, Emma F. age 14, Lavinia E. age 11, and a son Thomas F. age 9.
Residing in the household is a student Thomas Gay.
1854:Marriage: Emma F. Cameron, daughter of Benjamin and Eliza Hooten-Cameron.
1860 Census: Joseph is by occupation "Loafer", Personal Estate value $10,500.
Joseph ownes 11 slaves. He has his wife Emma F.(24) and a son J.B.(5) and his
wife's sister Lavinia E.(22) and her spouse A.B.Gibson(26) with their child
Emma(2) "named for her Aunt Emma" are found residing in the home.
1862- Joesph enlisted with the Georgia Volunteer Infantry Company E. 41st Reg.
He was elected 2nd Lt. March 4,1862;and elected Captain October 8,1862. He was
captured at Vicksburg, Mississippi July 4,1863 and paroled there. Roll dated
31 Dec.1863 and no further records. In 1903 he received a pension for this
service while residing in Florida. There are 10 pages in his pension records.
The 41st Regiment Georgia Company G V. Infantry of the Confederate Forces was
apart of Maney's Brigade of Cheathan's Divison of the Army of Tennessee and the
known as the Georgia Troup Light Guards as Co. E. of the 41st.
1862: Mustered into service.
6 Oct: Battle at Murfreeboro, Tennessee.
8 Oct: Fought at Perryville, Kentucky.
1863: 16 May: Fought at Baker's Creek, Mississippi..
4 Jul: Fought at Vicksburg, Mississippi and was captured.
6 Jul: Paroled in exchange.
25 Nov: Battle at Missionary Ridge, Georgia.
5 Feb: Battle at Rocky Face, Georgia.
1864: 18 Jun: Fought at Keanesaw Mt., Georgia.
31 Jul: Battle at Jonesboro, Georgia--- Atlanta.
1865: 18 Feb: Fought at Columbia, South Carolina.
14 Mar: Fought at Kinston, North Carolina.
26 Apr: Fought at Greensboro, North Carolina.(Surrendered)
The Regiment was combined with the 43rd and other Units to form the
40th Battalion and as such surrendered at Greensboro, North Carolina.
1870 Census: Joseph and Emma F. are residing in La Grange, Troup County, Ga.
1875: Joseph lost his beloved wife Emma and was left with a daughter Ida age 4.
1877: Dec 19, LaGrange, Georgia, Joseph marries 2nd wife Eva L. Screven, the
daughter of Ellen Sarah Talbird and James Odingsell Screven. They make their
home in La Grange, Georgia.
1879: Joseph served as LaGrange City Councilman on the Finance Committee in
April and was re-elected in May 1879: Article in La Grange Reporter Newspaper.
1880 Census: Joseph is found married with wife Eva, sick with childbirth. In
the home is Ida age 9 and mother-in-law Eliza Cameron age 82, Emma F. Cameron's
mother. Eva continues to have medical problems, so Joseph moves to Florida to be
near Eva's relative, Dr. Henry Talbird. He leaves Ida to help care for the now
elderly grandmother Eliza.
1883: Joseph returns to Georgia to bring Ida age 12 to join his new family in
Florida.
1889: Ida Virgina soon realizes she is only wanted to care for her sick step-
mother and her young siblings. She leaves home to marry age 16 to William B.
Raulerson and begins her own family in a home located near Lake Geneva.
1899: Eva Lennard, being quite ill travels to Atlanta, Georgia to seek medical
care and age 51 dies there from severe illness.
1900: Joseph resides at "Lennard's Hammock" on Old Mims Rd. in Geneva, Florida.
1903: Joseph applies for a CSA Pension submitting the papers in Orange Co.,
Florida. Pension (# A 05871) there are 10 pages in this record.
1910: Joseph(70) and children, Mary(19), and a son Francis(17) are living in
the same home in Geneva Florida. Joseph is a Fruit Farmer, and widowed. He gave
his birth place as Georgia, his father's birth place as Va., and his mothers's
birth place as Georgia. His residence is located on Old Mims Road, locally
known as" Lennard's Hammock".
1911: Joesph resides with his son Joseph S. Lennard and family at 67 Lemon St.,
St. Augustine, St. John's County, Florida, as of October 1996, the home can
still be found in excellent condition and there is a video of the home.
1915: Joseph dies and is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery, St. Augustine,
St. John's County, Florida; near the Jones-Lennard family plot.
There are several other relatives buried in this Cemetery: James R. Raulerson.

200 acres in Effingham Co. His brother James, stayed with him for about two
years, then returned to Richland Co. S.C.
John was a Revolutionary War soldier. Served in the South Carolina Militia,
Richland Dist. as did Benjamin, Richard, William and George, brothers of John.
Also, Gilbert and David Rawlinson served in the Continental Line, from South
Carolina.
