Listed here are the general guidelines for some of the constructed variants. These are variants that require a each player to build their own deck.

15 Points	Build a deck only using 15 points.
237 Magic	Build your deck scrabble style.
5-Color	Play with 250 cards and for Ante.
ABC Magic	Build a deck with 1 card for each letter of the alphabet (AKA Colorless Magic)
Army Magic	Build your 150 card Army deck and battle it out.
Battle of the 2's	Ever want to play your old Type 2 vs. new Type 2?
Block Party	Think Mirage Block was better than Invasion?
Bring Your Own Block	Want to build your own block? Saga, Planeshift, and Alliances as one Block?
Building Draft	Rules for building your own booster draft tournament.
Building Sealed	Rules for building your own sealed deck.
Chameleon	Use only gold cards.
Chess	Build and play chess with a Magic deck.
Colored Life	Your life is divided into 6 parts. You can only lose life from each part from one color.
Creature Fest	Creature only decks.
Deck Points	You only have so many points to build you deck with.
Effects Magic	Use only your comes into play creatures.
Elder Dragon Legend Wars	Build an army with your Elder Dragons.
Gauntlet	Take your 3 best decks vs. your friends 3 best decks.
Godzilla	Use Godzilla size creatures.
Highlander	You can only have one of any card in your deck.
Highlander, Extensive	You can only have one of any card in your deck but must have 3 from each set.
Highlander, Over Extensive	You can only have one of any card in your deck and must have 1 common, uncommon, and rare from each set.
King's Magic	Sorry no commons allowed!
Legend of the Five Colors	Play Magic with Legend of the Five Rings rules.
Legends Magic	Legendary creatures battle it out.
Pauper's Magic	I'm on welfare magic. (AKA Peasant Magic)
