No Name Deck A Deck for the Tag Team Variant Created by Torae_7 from www.MTGnews.com My philosophy is similar to massive's, except, where he was looking for the "in" player to be the initial combatant, then tag out when he needed a breather or to allow the other player to deliver massive beats, my deck applies it from the beginning, with straight, all out beats. The "out" player almost never tags in, instead remaining where he can't get damaged and assisting his teammate with his spells. Player 1
Notes: This is deck one. Straight, ferocious mostly-green beats. It has little in the way of removal, other than lightning bolt, focusing instead on beating very, very hard and very, very, fast. This could also be Goblin Slight, but I chose this route for high-end tricks.
Notes: The support deck. It has tricks, creature kill, life gain, etc. It will rarely enter the game, though it can do so with an Avatar of Woe or a large Death Grasp. Congregate is typically aimed at its ally, to keep him fighting and in the game. There are TWENTY spells included as creature kill, though Swords can be aimed at an allies creature to give him life in a pinch, and Lightning Bolt is more of all-purpose burn. Armageddon allows the potential for a turn four Shivan Wurm followed by a land-clear. |
